Thank you for posting an update. He's been on my mind since I read your first post. I'm sorry he's still not out of the woods. I hope he's better soon.hoss4570 wrote:Thanks giys. Not doing so good. Last night his temp was 102. Gotta keep the faith.

You could ask the nurses who are taking care of him about it too -- in babies especially, fever can be a defense mechanism against what ever is causing the infection. A lot of bacterias "can't stand the heat" -- so the fever can kill them off.hoss4570 wrote:We did'nt know and it scared the devil out of us. I remember when I was a brand new mom -- I had to have driven my doctor crazy the first few times my daughter was sick. One time, she had a fever of 101-102 and he wasn't really doing anything to treat it. The dr said "don't worry about it"... I said "WHEN do I worry about it?".
It really depends on what is causing his fever to start with. If it is infection or inflammation and whether it's a virus or bacteria. There is a lot to consider. Ask them if/when you should be worried about it.
Are they giving you any indications about his progress? I can imagine how helpless you feel. I hope they can get him turned around SOON!!
Hoss we are still praying. Two promises:
Jer 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
God thinks a lot of you or he would not have given you such a heavy burden.

They had to give him a transfusion this morning about 3:30 because his blood pressure fell, but now he is doing better. They still have him sedated but he is responding well to the nitrous oxide treatment. They expect him to be in the hospital for two weeks. Sick little boy.
