Timeline

5/26/15- Submitted Online Application.
6/7/15- Submitted Electronic Fingerprints.
6/20/15- Completed CHL Class.
6/22/15- Email Confirming Receipt of Supporting Documents.

I'm trying to practice some sort of self control but I still manage to convince myself that checking the site twice a day is not crazy. Love the site, thanks to all the senior members for all your priceless knowledge.

Welcome to the forum! And welcome to the waiting room! I submitted mine online about 10 days before you, and it was approved on 7/1. So with some luck you're probably just a couple of weeks behind me.

You should have your license in hand pretty soon! Are you planning to carry a glock?

I sent mine in 4 days after you & will be watching your timeline, our instructor told us he had a guy got his in one week but his fathers over 6 weeks & were both in the same class together, would be nice if it was that quick.

Yes it would! I won't get my hopes up though. The worst part about waiting for me is, everytime I take my 9 month old daughter out somewhere I'm always thinking what if. I've been extremely alert and paranoid sense ahe was born.

Update

Still no change on the website.

So I decided to call today to make sure they received everything. I spoke to a very nice lady who said they have everything and I have been approved. She said the next part seems to take longer than it should which is cutting the license and mailing it. She told me I would have my license in hand within the next two weeks! Any advice for me as I approach carrying for the first time (besides when I carry on the ranch) would be much appreciated. I will continue to soak up as much knowledge from the site as possible.

I kind of want to call now. I know there is a lot of different optons for carrying you may want to check out the Alien holsters, I heard those are pretty good.

Congrats to both of you!

Single best piece of advice I have is this:
Get a gun belt. Not a thick belt or a Wally World belt. A dedicated, purpose built gun belt. Everything else about your daily carry hinges on it.

Congrats Sigma!

Taypo,

I have a 5.11 tactical belt, would you suggest something else?

Nice! :clapping: I think you were only a day ahead of me timeline wise....so that means I should be there too! I'm going to call tomorrow to see what they tell me!

Hopefully she wasn't just telling me that to have me stop calling. That would really suck.

I thought that too when I called but then she told me it would be mailed to my address, quoted my full name and verified my driver's license.

Nice, I was thinking of calling again today to see what other information they can provide but thanks for telling me that.
