Grisham/OCT helping attack 30.06/30.07

Post by G.A. Heath »

Open carry activists in Texas have seemingly tried to destroy any protection we enjoy from Texas Penal Code 30.06, and OCT went so far as to try and compromise with Nevarez on his "Gut 30.06" bill where they would support the bill if he would remove the penalty. Now Grisham provides talking points and supports Nevarez's position in an interview with the Dallas Morning News. The following quote is reportedly from a member of OCT's closed group and is unconfirmed for it's truthfulness, but it fits with what was said in the article so I will include it (I have asked for a screen shot)
There is no sense in playing the "their sign isn't the right height or color or language" game. Simply go in and let them know you won't be spending money there because of their no-guns policy.
Grisham is said to claim that people play what he calls the missing word game in the article, rather than attack other gun owners I suggest Mr. Grisham Start acting like the "ProGun" advocate he claims he is and stop giving the other side ammunition. If He can't do that then perhaps he should ask Bloomberg to add him to the payroll. How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

I think this reveals a lot about his character. His willingness to support elimination of the requirement for certain signage if the penalty is removed tells me he is looking to break the law. It looks like he may have admitted that by saying he would go on in and tell them he won't spend money there.

He thinks he's outsmarting the opposite side but he isn't.

Forum rules prevent me from using the kind of purple language necessary to quantify the degree of moronic achieved by this feckless tool.
