Pocket Holster for Glock 42
Pocket Holster for Glock 42
Need recommendations for a pocket holster for the Glock 42. Although I would like to have a holster that doesn't print, I'm more concerned about the holster staying in the pocket when I draw.
What say ye?

Re: Pocket Holster for Glock 42
I bought my pocket holster from TT Gun Leather. It's a very nice holster.
I use this holster for a Colt Detective Special, which is fairly big for pocket carry.
I pocket carry in cargo shorts and slacks and it does not print.
As far as staying in the pocket while drawing, I find that has more to do with the cut of the pants than the holster.
I recently purchased two DeSantis Nemesis holsters, but I haven't received them yet.
The TT Gun Leather holster will cost you $70, but you can buy the Nemesis for about $25.

If it makes a difference to the OP, I should mention that the TT Gun Leather holster is stiff, like the Kydex front pocket Alabama holster. The Wall wrote:Try these folks. I have one and it works great.

The Nemesis holsters are soft and collapsible.

The Alabama front pocket holster is shaped to the contour of your thigh as advertised. It's comfortable for me.

Likewise with the TT Gun Leather. I was thinking more about the ease and smoothness of the draw rather than comfort. The Wall wrote:The Alabama front pocket holster is shaped to the contour of your thigh as advertised. It's comfortable for me.

I use the UPK from Tagua for the Keltec 380, it is also available for Glock 42.

Surftsunami - I would have to nix your choice. IMO a good holster must cover the trigger.surftsunami wrote:I use the UPK from Tagua for the Keltec 380, it is also available for Glock 42.

My Alabama pocket holster for XDS is actually en route to me right now.The Wall wrote:Try these folks. I have one and it works great.

Edited to add.... It's actually out for delivery right now, so I'll have it in a couple of hours and can post pictures of it if need be.
+3 on ixnaying that pocket holster with the exposed trigger. That's a femoral bleed-out waiting to happen.

Re: Pocket Holster for Glock 42
I received my DeSantis Nemesis holsters today.
I think they are going to work out fine.
The gun on the left is the Beretta PX-4 Storm SC.
The gun on the right is a Colt Detective Special.
I have been carrying the Colt in my TT Gun Leather pocket holster with no problems.
No fault of the holster, but the Beretta feels like a small brick in my pocket.
I still think that pocket carry is doable with the Beretta.
The outside of the holsters have a bumpy surface that sticks to the pocket so the holster stays put while drawing the gun.

It would seem that you have a "Any Other Weapon" (AOW) under the NFA and requires a tax stamp. Most of what I found with my google-fu was dated. "Things" change and I wonder what the current requirements are. Law research is not my strength. I just barely can keep up with not breaking them.

Surftsunami was talking about a holster, not a AOW.mcscanner wrote:surftsunami wrote:I use the UPK from Tagua for the Keltec 380, it is also available for Glock 42.

Re: Pocket Holster for Glock 42
I know, but the picture shows gun in holster in his post. Plus what's the point of holster if you don't put something in it. What I read was you can have the gun and holster on the table separate and apart. Once the gun is placed in the holster it becomes a AOW under NFA and needs to meet those requirements. It has to be a 'shoot thru' type of holster. If trigger covered not AOW.WildBill wrote:Surftsunami was talking about a holster, not a AOW.mcscanner wrote:surftsunami wrote:I use the UPK from Tagua for the Keltec 380, it is also available for Glock 42.
