Do you know who hosted or organized the "party"?
Only what I've read. One report said the following:
Tatiana Rose, who lives in the Craig Ranch neighborhood and hosted the party with her siblings, said a woman and man who live in the neighborhood showed up and called their friends racist profane names and told them to return to their Section 8 housing.

The 19-year-old Rose said most of her friends who attended the party live in Craig Ranch — which sits along a golf course.

While I understand completely that the "story" in that link is skewed towards her opinion, I don't see any reason to doubt that she was the one hosting the party.

But, my comment was really tongue in cheek, making fun of the "racists slant". The police weren't picking out black people to harass, the uncomfortable truth is that they confronted only those who refused to do disperse.

I don't think taking the race bait is productive or beneficial.

I'm not sure how that is going to go over when 1400 already confirmed protesters find out that nobody is swimming today and the pool is locked up. Lots of posts suggest that people will be armed and ready to "promote justice." Then, of course you have the conservative groups, such as the "DFW Patriots" vowing to come "locked and loaded for a counter-protest," keeping McKinney safe from "lawless teens, race-baters, and cop haters."

I've been moving potted plants, tiki torches, lights, pretty much everything that isn't nailed down, into the garage. I have 2 trauma kits ready to go, and the wife & kids are spending the night at my mother in law's. I will be joining them if things start to get violent and I think I can get out safely.

What a surreal day in the suburbs.
I would be surprised if anything at all becomes of this.
I am hoping you are correct. I think this is less likely for than riots than an urban area, but potentially much more costly if it does. These are houses, not businesses that would potentially be damaged/destroyed.

From what I saw, there were simply no female officers on duty that night. I think every available unit responded, including FD. I am sure if there was an available female officer, she would have responded.

Sadly, this neighborhood is the battleground. Ridiculous. Nobody here wants this. The neighborhood, while diverse, is fairly united that the media has spun this, its not about race, and we can't tolerate this kind of behavior.

There were lots of white friends there. Some of them also got cuffed. The media isn't reporting that, the kid videoing didn't record it.

The party was hosted by 3 groups: the DimePieceGirls, Twinzz promotions, and DJ Reign. All of these are teenagers who apparently put on parties at various locations in N Dallas area.

"DJ Reign" was promoting it. Not sure about the others involved.
DJ Reign is a 17 year old white kid who lives and goes to school in Plano. They have yet explained how he was allowed to throw a party in our neighborhood.

Tatiana is part of Twinzz promotions. She is 19 years old, and was the girl fighting in the twitter video, while her friends egged her on. By all accounts, the white mother in the video did yell racial slurs, as did Tatiana. I'm not sure who started it, but I know the kids were taunting parents with their children inside the pool while they were illegally trespassing. Our Facebook page was blowing up at this point, as we all knew something bad was about to happen. We obviously had no idea it would turn into this.

CR HOA can't shut down the march as long as it stays on public property. The streets and park are public. The pool is private. There is a heavy police presence. There has been since Friday evening.

Tatiana is listed on her twitter account as a "chiraq || texa$ || promoter || vixen ||."

This isn't simply case a of neighborhood high school student having some friends over. In fact, you read her twitter feed it appears that it may have been collecting funds to host other parties.

Visit at your own risk. I haven't reviewed all the content but some may not fall within the 10 year old daughter rule.

https://twitter.com/Keef_Cakez" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And just like that all the content on her page has been blocked unless you are a follower.
Thats the one. I can share some screen shots, but I'm sure I would be breaking some profanity rules. She was bragging about the fight on Twitter after it happened. She also bolted when the cops came, leaving her sister (the girl in the YouTube video) to be taken down by police. She jokes about that too.

***Edited for same reason. I moved my response out of another's quote.

Unfortunately, it looks like your neighborhood drew the short straw. I suspect this is another version of the flash mob and you guys are part of ground zero. Be careful.

What's really sad is that race probably wasn't an issue until outsiders decided to make it one. Race baiters sling the bait and some are real quick to take it.

Bennet Embry (sp?), resident of CR is being interviewed on Hannity. He did it's NOT a racial incident.

Why can't people like him be considered a community leader instead of the race baiting thugs.

Mr. Embry was also on CNN. Good neighbor. I've had many talks with neighbors of all races. We all pretty much feel the same. Glad he spoke out.
