1) Lower 30.06 penalties for the areas where they are still going to be too high (campus areas)

2) CHLers can carry where off-duty LEO can carry

A) because renewing license plates, going to D.P.S., and visiting other county/State offices require disarming and going through metal detectors when those offices are in County Courthouse annex

B)
because paying water and city utility bills requires disarming because the Cashier which collects Justice of the Peace fines, and municipal court is in the building with the cashier who collects city utility payments

C) because when the school calls and your daughter is ill at the nurse's office it takes time to hide your gun in the bushes before going indoors (ok, not really in the bushes, but disarming and rearming in a car in the school parking lot) So, you get the idea.

3) Relax holster-type open carry language from shoulder and belt so bathing suit top/bra holsters are legal (or ankle holsters or other types which may be worn at the beach) Necklace holster for .45/410 Derringer? Perhaps Bond Arms can make a SharkSlayer like the Bond Arms SnakeSlayer? .. ok, this is lower priority

4) Reduced Penalties everywhere possible, because...
Ideally, decriminalization of carrying a tool to defend your life, in all areas possible, defending the life God gave you should not be a criminal act anywhere, with whatever tool is necessary, in any location.
6. Campus Carry clean up: tighten up the wording to counter the inevitable abuse of "gun free zone" declarations by universities.
7. Public school carry (concealed, on-person only), including protections for administrators, teachers, staff, and faculty to not be in jeopardy of losing their job.

Even a tiny convenience store with one person in it would have to have two commissioned security officers 24/7. 1) Legal unlicensed CCW and open carry.
2) Reduce off-limits areas.
3) Require armed security guards and metal detectors at any place posted both 30.06 and 30.07.
4) Require notification to DPS of any place posted posted 30.06 or 30.07. DPS to post a searchable database of such locations online.
5) Remove carry restrictions on "illegal" knives/clubs.
6) Change OC holster requirements to just "holstered".
7) NFA shall-sign.

Anybody brave enough to open carrry in an ankle holster wearing shorts should be allowed to. "rlol"

+1 to these suggestions

If you have a CHL
- you should be allowed to carry anywhere an off duty police officer is allowed to carry
- you should be able to carry anything. There should not be any restrictions on knives/clubs/swords
- the Chief Law Enforcement Officer should be required to sign your NFA paperwork within days. (As an alternative, it could be the DPS or the Attorney General)

I know the Hughes amendment or repeal of the NFA probably will not happen at the federal level, so I would love to see Texas pass the CLO shall sign legislation in the next session.

Unless I missed a change, I would like some penalties for employers that might violate the parking lot statutes.

I'd like to see all local, state and federal government respect the constitution.

What part of "shall not be infringed" don't they understand?

Get rid of holster requirements (like they have in GA)
And carry any weapon (like they have in GA, it's called a GWCL)

Sometimes I prefer Mexican-Carry

What I'd like to see is all states recognizing each others CCW's as they do with DL's.
Less restrictions that employers put on employees who have a CCW.

That is the first time I hear someone with a chl say that. I know a few people with chls and Ive never meet one who mexican carry. If I had to guess, I would guess you have not had you chl long and you have not had a chance to get a hold of a good, comfortable holster. Either way, thats a first for me.

My other list includes a very long list, but key points are:
1. Bring campus carry 30.06 penalties into line with OC bill 30.06 penalties.
2. Advance Campus Carry.
3. Advance improper government postings (including but not limited to private causes of action)
4. Advance Licensed Carry (Including but not limited to universal license recognition)
5. Start tweaking 46.035 for eventual unlicensed carry.

Keep in mind most of my wishlist becomes more difficult/impossible if CJ Grisham and his flying troupe of simians don't get their act together and behave.

Just joking about Mex Carry, but I'd like to carry however I prefer. Licensed for 20 years and like many here will not say whether I carried before chl's were invented.
