I agree completely on both points. That's again Mr Cotton!!Scott Farkus wrote:...
One day I'd love to hear the juicy behind the scenes details - the "rest of the story", as they say. But today, I simply say, thank you.
A final thought. I understand your disappointment that HB308 once again did not make it to the floor. I agree with you that it will be a far greater victory for carry rights when it finally passes. But it was hugely symbolic to get OC done, and by finally getting that elephant out of the room, I am firmly convinced that the chances for HB308 next session just got a whole lot better, if not inevitable. I hope others will follow me in committing our assistance to getting this done in 2017.

I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

I'll repeat what I said in another thread.
Charles, thank you for fighting for us all and thank you for keeping us in the loop when you could and putting up with us when you could not.

I'll also be one of those who repeats thanks here already offered in another thread -- because clearly it is well deserved. Thank you for your efforts, through the good and the bad, with the easy and the difficult, with issues that were important to you and especially for those that were important to us even if they weren't the highest priority to you personally.

Re: The thread where we thank Mr. Cotton
I have had a "exciting" time watching these two important bills go through the process. It was because of this forum that I was able to understand what was going on and gave me hope when at times I thought all was lost. Thank you for all that you have done Mr. Cotton and thanks to the many other knowledgeable people on here. There is still much to be done to restore our 2A rights but these two bills are great victories in the right direction.

I'll add my thanks and kudos also for Charles, Alice, and anyone else on the front lines. But I also want to extend my thanks to one other person who I believe helped tremendously at the grass roots level by being actively involved and level-headed at all times, and that is G.A.Heath and his Gun Rights in Texas podcast which really helped to get the message out there with sanity, decorum, and intelligence.
