So if they agreed on something it now has to go back through the House and Senate? Here comes the filibuster...
Yes, but if it gets back fast enough....they'd have to filibuster for possibly a few days! (2)

That really depends on how quickly it's tossed back... odds are very low.

We learned the other night that it's not over until it's over. We have a threat of a filibuster now and that may very well happen but who knows what other deals might get struck between now and the end. Doesn't look good but just saying......

No argument, but it doesn't even mean that it will get to a vote... much less be subjected to a filibuster.

Sorry. But I think the Fat Lady and Don Merideth have taken the stage. Given what others in the know have said and other threads that have started, I think everyone with skin in the game is ready for the show to be over and concentrate on '17. ...Possibly without OC if "those elements" that supposedly support it can't be contained.

Sucks but... I hope I'm wrong. At this point, not coming up for a vote at all may be better than a Money-Drive filibuster or a down-in-flames vote.

Didn't Ellis and West for for open carry, once the Huffines amendment was added, because it seems to give more protection against profiling?

While I don't doubt their anti-gun bias, the fact that the amendment remains may be enough to forestall any filibuster, even if they vote against the bill now.

If there's wisdom in this action, I'm struggling hard to find it.

The chant/rant/mantra during concurrence debate was that LE did not want the bill with the amendment, and we respect LE, so send it to conference so it can be fixed out of respect for LE. Then they leave it in? Lucy's got some 'splainin' to do...

It was likely the only option. A little forward thinking would have been nice.
