Idk for certain, but I'd think that would be in violation of the 4th amendment.
if you allowed it, thst wouldn't be.

I understand that technically, it need to go back to the house, but according to the internet, it is still headed to the Gov. Do we know for sure? I don't think it will take much time if it goes to the house either way.

For some reason I'm thinking HB910 will be done on Thursday or Friday. But with this bunch, this close to the end, who knows?!
When the office staff all get back to work Tuesday you'll see some required publishing of amendments, analysis, and other reports that are required before they can address some of these things, by rule.

I think the Senate has to report the bill and amendments and distribute them first, which hasn't happened yet I believe.

I've noticed that Alice Trip has used the words "significantly similar" to describe the differences in wording of the HB 910 versions several times in the last 24 hours. Is there some significance to what actually happens to 910 next based on that? I'm still hearing multiple stories of what is needed next to get to Gov Abbott. Floor vote, author acceptance, concurrence?

First it needs all the documentation printed and passed out, then it needs to get on a calendar, then on the floor the Chair will review it for germaneness of the amendment, then there must be a "motion to concur" and if adopted will be sent to Mr. Abbott's office. It will probably all happen pretty fast. The deadline is Friday.

I wish we knew, I'm all for whatever needs to be done to get this bill across the finish line.
