HB 910 is on the floor..
Re: Call-To-Action: HB910
Rodriquez is proposing an amendment stating that if you are denied a CHL in Texas, you can't go get one in another state, then come back and use that to CCW in Texas. Estes agrees there's a question, but wants it to be a separate bill. Rodriquez wants it added onto hb910.

I want to strike the word "commonsense" from the English language.
It's become a "trigger word" for me.

Amazing how disrespectful Democrats are of the legislature in wasting time with the same amendments that were already considered on SB17.

Re: Call-To-Action: HB910
I am happy to see them pulling them down and withdrawing them without debate if Estes says no... It helps move things along faster (granted they know they won't pass) but I am glad to see that
Re: Call-To-Action: HB910
So LEO is supposed to spot a miniature license on the holster from 50 feet away? And from that distance determine if it's a valid license or a fake? In a hectic shooting situation? Do these Democrats even know how to spell "logic"?
Re: Call-To-Action: HB910
Cripes. Does anybody know how MANY amendments are in the stack?
I'm kinda surprised they're ALLOWED to propose amendments that have already been proposed, discussed and voted on.

Re: Call-To-Action: HB910
Opposition is merely offering he EXACT SAME AMENDMENTS when SB17 was floor debated. There were 22 amendments introduced back on 03/16/2015.Ruark wrote:Cripes. Does anybody know how MANY amendments are in the stack?
IMO, the opposition is raising these amendments AGAIN(knowing that every amendment will be tabled), just to save face & say " well, we tried "

I like how the Secretary is calling the role from memory. I think she's done it a few times previously.

Reinstate the Dutton Amendment!!!
Then the House would not have to confirm the bill.. it would go directly to the Governor.!!!
I vote YEA

Why would Estes not want this if it makes for easy passage? Only reason I can see is maybe Abbot has says he would not sign it?RoyGBiv wrote:Reinstate the Dutton Amendment!!!
