New member here, first time post but thought I would pass on my findings today......as everyone else, when trying to check my status, I would get the same message on the RSD website "CHL APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending CHL application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required"

So I called today and finally got thru after several attempts. Spoke with a nice lady, just wanted to make sure I submitted all of the correct forms, she checked and said yes, they do have the correct forms but currently back logged 40 - 50 days due to a heavy inflow of applications after the first of the year. Hopefully I will see it soon. Word to the wise, don't let you CHL expire!!

Completed App: Dec, 8th, 2014
Fingerprints: Dec, 10th, 2014
Completed CHL class Mar, 28th, 2015
Emailed forms: Mar, 30th, 2015
License: Waiting!!

That is the same thing they told me whan I called last month & I'm still waiting....Then when I called again this past monday morning I was told by the rep on the phone that my docs were'nt recieved yet... so now, after emailing the mgr at RSD my docs, now I'm told that all is well and that my app is being reviewed and to give them a few days for processing. :waiting:

512) 424-7293. be prepared to be on hold for at least 10-20 min and dont be surprised if the serv rep you speak with sounds unsure of his/her answers when you call. Ask to speak to a mgr or supervisor. Only they know if all your paperwork is accounted for.
