Just for the cherry on top, another OCT member was arrested today for openly wearing a blue gun in a holster when he tried to enter the capitol.
Moderators: carlson1, Charles L. Cotton
Since it is different than the Senate version, they will need a conference committee I think, unless they have some other less formal way of reconciling differences. Then the houses have to vote up or down on what comes out of conference. There are some tight rules on what can be changed in conference.PBR wrote:So what is left for it to pass, Abbott signing or more?Charles L. No. They won't do anything to throw open debate again on the 3rd reading. That's something to fix in 2017 and it should be relatively easy since is would be in the nature of a conforming bill.locke_n_load wrote:Charles, will the amendment be modified for 30.06 and 30.07 to both be included in the downgrade to a class C?Charles L. Only 30.06 was amended with the last amendment..![]()

Since 30.07 is being added by this bill, I suspect that was an oversight on his part, rather than a shot at open-carry.

Let me see. My buddy stuck his hand into a hornets' nest and got stung. I think I'll try it and see what happens.mojo84 wrote:Thanks to all involved.

It's too twisted to be real but it's almost like the OCT group is a brilliant scheme created by the Bloomberg group/money to fight from "inside". A Trojan Horse.Charles L. Cotton wrote:Let me see. This bill must now go to the Senate.PBR wrote:So what is left for it to pass, Abbott signing or more?Charles L. Give the PR roadblocks they were handed, it's impressive.Charles L. Same for me. It will be nice to not worry about concealment if I'm out in the country but not having to be paranoid about looking for 30.06's is very comforting.jmra wrote:TXBO wrote:If the 30.06 amendment passes the Senate, it's the most rewarding element of the whole bill for me.![]()
I probably won't OC much, but it will be nice to know that if I miss a 30.06 sign while CCing I don't have to worry about facing a Class A.
Assuming it passes as is.
Same here. I'm always paranoid I missed a sign.TXBO wrote:If the 30.06 amendment passes the Senate, it's the most rewarding element of the whole bill for me.
Is that a real possibility? That would be better than icing on the cake!jmra wrote:TXBO wrote:If the 30.06 amendment passes the Senate, it's the most rewarding element of the whole bill for me.![]()
