TNW Rifles in 9mm, 40, 45ACP

#1

Post by rbwhatever1 »

Anyone know these guys or have one of these rifles?

I've been looking for an old Marlin Camp in 45ACP but they're hard to find and this TNW rifle has potential. These rifles use Glock magazines. The highest capacity double stack i found for Glock in 45ACP was 26 rounds which would be perfect. Rifle comes with a 4x scope. Specs are lacking on the website and the manual took me to a broken link. Neat lightweight pistol caliber rifle if it's highly reliable and accurate out to 50 or 60 yards.

Marlin Camp Model 9 and 45 rifles are getting harder and harder to find and have been commanding premium prices for nice ones. This is a cool alternative, especially since it comes in .40 SW. I like that you can switch calibers easily. I read it will be available in .22lr, .22WMR and .17HMR as well. I may have to put this on my list.

Have you seen this? Lot easier to find and probably cheaper.

All you need is a Glock.

Pretty neat idea to slide a 1911 or glock lower into a rifle upper...

Good review. That scope appears to be a bit lacking. Groups were good at 50 yards with a different scope.

Gun-Tests magazine has tested these two pistol caliber carbines:

Just Right Carbines: http://www.justrightcarbines.com/ (approximately $725.00)

Thureon Defense Carbines: http://www.mycarbine.com/content/thureo ... ic-carbine (approximately $959.00)

I Had no idea these folks existed. I like the Thureon Defense SA model and have emailed them for the full specs. I'm leaning towards this one over the TNW.
I need to do a lot more research and figure it out. Thanks for the info!

Using Glock mags would be a deal breaker for me, I refuse to own a Glock of any flavor

If you have a Gun-Tests subscription, you can read the entire review. They really liked the Thureon Defense carbine.

That's one of the reasons I'm leaning towards the SA as I have no Glock magazines and this one uses an Uzi / Colt SMG type straight magazine. Basic no frills grease gun looking firearm.

I read some of the teaser articles and one goes head to head with a Remington & Colt 1911. I'll be subscribing this weekend to check it out. Looks like a valuable thing to have.

Yep. Cut and thread for a suppressor.
