Be careful, this is so true. I bought my M4 a couple years ago and at that time had no interest in a shotgun. Only 3-4 months later I bought a Benelli M2 3-gun model. I also have shot a few AR-10's and didn't think I would ever want one. I have passed up on a few really nice ones sold on this forum, but couldn't on one put up for sale about a month ago and got a really nice one from a friend and forum member. The only one of the above mentioned firearms I don't have yet is an AK. All I can say is that at this time I do not have any interest in one, but it looks like it may be inevitable and is only a matter of time.
Come on now, AKs are a blast to shoot...you NEED one.

We should do that again when it warms up a bit and stops raining/sleeting/snowing.
C-Dub! Why wait Paw Paw and his friend and Andy C and me faced high 30's temp and wind gusts to match for a get together. It was fun watching the clay birds move like doves! You missed that one. Seems like perfect weather for another one :biggrinjester: I'll me up there the 4th of March.

I think I could do that

I remember one of our gatherings like that. Was I at the one you're mentioning?

No, I haven't made your acquaintance as of yet. I think I planned to be there but came down with a bout of bronchitis. I remember Andy saying the wind was fierce at that one, too.

Congratulations! I'm still working on my wife as well for buying an AR15. Any trade secrets that you would be willing to share? Thanks.

Has she ever fired one? Does she enjoy shooting anything? Maybe if a friend wold let you and her shoot one she might see it's no big deal and even fun.

If you are up north of town, I might recommend Conroe Shooting Academy but there are certainly other options in other areas. If your wife enjoys shooting there are also several different ladies' groups around.
I am near Tomball so Conroe is a great location. A guy that works with me and I have been talking about arranging some customer events. Skeet. Trap. Prarie dog hunts. forget golf. Let's shoot some thing!

Wait. Common sense? You clearly haven't met my wife. I would rather believe it was my charm and great physique. "rlol"

Shotgun? Sporting clays? Time to start working on a new goal. I see 3 gun tournaments in my future.
Hopefully, your wife isn't on the forum.
She is but not very active. :thumbs2:

That's easy, tell her you want a SCAR 17 and show her the price, once she gets over the sticker shock she should easily agree to an AR..... After all you saved some money...........

The guy at the show kicked it off when he explained to her that it was the safest home defense gun because of the frangible ammunition. We walked around the rest of the show and I kept pointing out all of the higher priced guns even with no add ons. Knowing the DPMS was a good value, I kept reminding her of that too. I sealed the deal with the same logic she uses on me when returning from the mall. "It is such a good deal, we have to buy it! Look how much we are saving!" I love it when I get to use her own language against her. :thumbs2: :cheers2:
