“The guy pulled the gun and jumped in front of a customer in line and was pointing the gun at the employees,” said [Owner Patrick] Good. “That’s when my guy pulled his gun and shot him three times.”

Good said he had no problem with his employees carrying firearms with a concealed carry permit while on the job.

Let this be an example to all.

The pharmacist hit him in the chest with a .45 and the robber still
had the ability to raise his gun to shoot the pharmacist.

The 2nd and 3rd shots hit the BG's gun and one went into his abdomen.

Although a .45 is a great caliber, it still doesn't stop the threat with one shot.
Keep firing 'til the threat no longer exists. No .380's for me, thanks.

Thousands of .45 carriers just cried.

I've heard all of the cliche's:

"I carry a .45 because they don't make a .46!"

"I carry a .45 because I don't want to have to shoot twice."

Absolutely. And that's why I carry a 9mm. Fast follow-up shots, low recoil. Shot placement matters more than caliber.
Keep calm and carry.

:iagree: with MR1337, AND with the 9mm I get to keep shooting from a convenient carry package well past when the .45 would run dry. I really like the .45 and I really like the 9mm (.40 not so much with its combination of 9mm recoil sharpness and .45 push all in one package), but I feel best prepared carrying the 9mm. YMMV, of course.

I am glad he did not fire that 4th round. He used great restraint but it would have looked bad on the video.

Good for the criminal. He got what he deserved and never got a round off. Unless I missed something...

I just watched the video, it could be an optical illusion but it looks like there was a guy outside directly inline with the BG. Thankfully the GG didn't miss the BG. It worked out well, but this appears to be a prime example of someone having tunnel vision and not realizing what lies beyond their target.

Yep, the gentleman with the cowboy hat for shot #2 definitely. He was slightly offline for #1 and #3, still very close...

I may just be seeing things but right after the first shot it seemed like the window was hit. The bottom right side of the window changes kind of drastically. Even after the shooting stops it never returns to normal. The Pharmacist definitely hit the target on the first shot so did it go through the robber?

A .45 at that short of a range I would anticipate it would go all the way through. I agree, the glass behind him changes. The only other explanation that I can think of is the camera reacting to the muzzle flash.

To be precise, the police are not going to charge the pharmacist. The case is now with the prosecutor. I still would not expect any charges.
