12 days

I see a lot of stories about long wait times (4 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 months), but it varies a lot. A student just emailed me yesterday, that he got his in 12 business days from the time he mailed in his form. Figure 4 days for mail both ways, and that's an 8 day turn-around.

It depends on how busy they are.

Day 46 since documents sent, day 38 since documents acknowledged, and no status change yet.

The acknowledgment was on December 30. On January 6 a relative uploaded his documents and got ack'd on the same day. I think he got his license on about the 16th. January 6 - 16 for him, December 30 - February 6 and beyond for me. Odd.

I have no arrests, no charges, no restraining orders, and I get about one minor traffic ticket every couple of decades (and I'm trying to do better).

My guess is there they aren't keeping track of what order applications come in.

Meanwhile, bad guys need beware. I shall grin them down, just like Davy did with the b'ar. I have a fearsome, full-auto grin. I'm safe.

I'm at 15 days (email confirmation saying documents received on 2/17) and as of this morning 3/3 my card is on its way to me.

My daughter took her class on Jan.24st, applied online that night and waited until Feb 12 to get her fingerprints done. She received her plastic in hand on Feb 26.

I wonder how many of you guys that are getting your license's within 2-3 weeks have mailed in the papers vs emailing them electronically?

Does that makes any difference?

I'm going on two weeks since I emailed all my docs & my online status still says something to the effect of allowing sufficient time for processing.....

I submitted mine via website and mailed originals. Kept a copy for myself. I wanted to be sure they received everything.

Me too, 12 "working" days! Mailed the packet off March 2nd. Received the card in the mail today (March 16th). I was quite impressed.

They are a lot faster nowadays, here is my time line.
02/21/15-took class
02/25/15-fingerprints
02/26/15-mailed everything overnite mail
03/09/15-status changed
03/14/15-recieved plastic in mail
so from mail date to received date-16 days, not to shabby
