I wear just regular t-shirts. My normal size is XL but they seem to shrink length wise so I go with 2x. No issues here

I tried the untucked shirt idea, but soon realized I can't stand an untucked shirt. I feel like a slob with an untucked shirt.

I prefer the vest and a tucked in shirt approach or a sport jacket as a cover garment if I'm going to eat in a nice restaurant.

This approach allows me to wear the kind of shirts I like.

The Guyabera or Hawaiian shirt idea is sound, but not my style.

I have a ton of Old Navy tall shirts that I've bought online. Cabela's also has pretty good button up options in tall sizes. Blackhawk and 5.11 are great if you can find them at a discount.

I ordered a few from LA Police Gear and really like a SS Blackhawk 1700. Nice fitting/looking shirt. Regularly $59.99 on sale for $35.99. A little expensive but I like it.

My only thing with Blackhawk and 5.11, is that if you see anyone wearing it, you know they are carrying. Police would spot you a mile away. I would imagine the smart criminals would do the same. I prefer tall sized "civilian" clothing anytime I can get it.

Another thing I found out by accident was to get fitted for suits while wearing your firearm, or at least your holster, if you are going to carry IWB. I was out with the wife one night, found out I needed to get a new suit, she talked me into walking into the store on a whim, and there I was, getting measured before I realized I forgot to disarm.

I said really quietly to the salesman, "Hey man, I know you are already measuring me, but I need to be honest with you. I have a CHL, and I think I need to run back to my car really quickly. I don't want to make you or anyone in here uncomfortable..."

He interrupted, "You're not a cop?"

"No," I replied.

"No problem. I've actually been wanting to get mine..." He then asked me a million questions about the test, costs, laws, etc.

This is now my best fitting suit by far, especially when carrying IWB.

Your tailor is your friend! From adjusting waistbands to adding a canvas patch to protect the lining of a suit jacket/blazer/sport coat, a good tailor makes business dress or exec level business casual much more comfortable for those who carry a concealed weapon.

I always have Dickies shirts around. Flat bottom work style shirts. Not expensive at all.

If im going with a plain cotton shirt i try and pick up a long version if available so it doesn't feel to baggy everywhere else. But I primary carry appendix so shirts are not that big of a problem as long as they are not to form fitting.
