Which hand gun would you choose if you could have just one?

Maybe this question was asked before on this board but I could not find a related topic.

I would keep my H&K P30 in 9 mm.

Easy to conceal, popular round. 15+1 capacity, no aftermarket support needed, solid quality.

If I was forever limited to choosing just one handgun it would be a L or N frame Smith and Wesson or Colt Python in 357 Mag.

GP100 .357 because if I'm limited to one I don't have to worry about mags.

But choosing which of mine to keep would be more of a chore, the .45, or the .45, or . . .

Glock 19.

Good concealibility. Abundant ammo. 15+1 capacity. Lots of aftermarket support. Durable and dependable.
Keep calm and carry.

Glock 19 for the exact same reasons. Its also a great balance of sub compact and full size. Right in the middle. The porridge that's just right.

I'm partial to my M&P9 4.25" Pro because it's 17+1, reliable, and feels a lot better in my hand than a Block. Not to mention its the perfect size for me to conceal or open carry (living in WA, right now) in the city or the woods. Not to mention it shoots better than I do

While I -like- my semi-autos, I'd have to go with a revolver.

Specifically, my grand-Pap's S&W 27-2 that he left me. It's about as sweet a package as can be hoped for: plenty of power for most "routine" purposes, with a 6" barrel, not too long for self-defense, not too short for hunting, and not big for carry (although a bit large for concealing), along with a superb trigger, grips that fit me better than any glove, that deep bluing you can't get any more, and more family history and sentimental value than you can shake a stick at.

My M&P 9 Pro Series 5 inch. The very first two rounds I fired from it after I got it hit the bullseye.

Logic suggests either a Glock 19 for absolute reliability and simplicity or a 4" Python or Smith model 27 for simplicity and ammunition variety. Aesthetics suggest adding the Browning HP to the suspect list as the best looking gun available in arguably an equally reliable package.
