WTB...Ultra-Lite revolver for wife

I am trying to find a very well maintained Ultra-Lite in .38Spl for my wife to carry. She is an avid runner that currently carries an older Chief's Special in a fanny pack while she runs. Only problem is the weight bouncing around. Obivoulsy Ultra-Lites average around 21oz and are much easier to run with. Live in Galveston County, but willing to deal with anyone in TX.

Just a reminder... ultra light is great for carry but hurts when being fired.

I have (and love - it isn't for sale) a S&W 642 that I think starts at about 15oz and is .38Spc +P rated and I can very highly recommend this model for her uses. The .357Mag version is actually a touch lighter than the .38Spc version (or was when I bought) due to using different materials. But you pay for it when pulling the trigger and when opening the wallet. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip and she does know that the lack of weight increases the kick. I will have her practice with the Chief Special and occasionally squeeze a few off with the other just so she will not forget the "feel". I just want her to be able to come back from a run w/o being bruised from a heavier piece bouncing on her side.

You might have her consider a little KelTec for running. They are thin and light and DAO like the revolver.

Most elastic waistbands will hold them up with no problem.

My mom and wife both carry keltec 380s and love them.

True, but I (and her) want her to have a little more pop than a .380. I agree that they are nice BUGs, but that's about it. I want what she has to stop to STOP if it would ever come to that.

I like the idea of a small revolver for running purposes. If it were for some other purpose, I might suggest a Kahr or KelTec in 9mm or .380. But as a belly gun while running you can't beat the airweights.

I've got an airweight, about 1 year old. Shot once at the range, about 20 down the pipe. Purchased new at carters. Bought it for a carry weapon, decided I do not prefer revolvers. Looks new. Open to trade or sale.
Lightest gun I've ever held myself. 5 shot.

I have an Airweight (638). I wouldnt sell that gun for anything. Looks into the Airweights.

I have a NIB S&W 642 Airweight. It was going to be a console gun for my truck but I ended up using a semi-auto instead.
