What Are The Chances?

#1

Post by Larry82052 »

I just sent in my Application for my permit on June 25th,I am wondering what the chances are of being turned down just be cause I owe the IRS a little money. How strict are they on issues as long as you are not a criminal?I guess I worry cause all that work getting all that done and being rejected?

Your chance of being turned down for owing the IRS is ZERO.

The state only cares about money you owe the state, or child support.

You don't need a CHL to carry while hunting. You don't need to conceal your handgun while hunting either...
§ 46.15. NONAPPLICABILITY.

(b) Section 46.02 does not apply to a person who:

(4) is engaging in lawful hunting, fishing, or other
sporting activity on the immediate premises where the activity is
conducted, or is en route between the premises and the actor's

I don't know the ins and outs of hunting; I've never gone.

I know there are rules about the type of weapon you can use. Some places and seasons are shotgun-only or black-powder only. I don't know what a game warden would think of someone carrying a centerfire handgun in that circumstance.

I understand that its not needed for hunting,I just wanted to carry one since I am in my hunting truck most of the time and if your not hunting, you better have a conceal carry permit,,

You should be ok without it, but I agree with the better safe than sorry sentiment...

I don't bow hunt, so I don't know what a game warden would think of an open carried handgun during bow season... I do open carry while hunting with a rifle or shotgun and never had a problem. Of course I cover up before I go int town or anything ;-)

CHL is the only way to legally carry handgun during archery season. And it must remain concealed, for use with Chaper 9 circumstances only.
