RIP Sgt Mike Naylor.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Does the story you have linked have the county wrong? It is reporting him as Midland County.
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.
Don’t pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he’ll just kill you.

Re: RIP Sgt Mike Naylor.
Sorry that was my mistake, I typed Ector county because the person who confirmed the information was from Ector County. Midland Count is correct and is just east of Ector County. Here in this part of the country we often treat Midland/Odessa (Cities) and Midland/Ector (Counties) as one and the same.OldCurlyWolf wrote:Curious.G.A. I know about Midland/Odessa. I have lived and worked there, more than once. I like the area. Have also lived in Pecos, Ft. Stockton, Monahans, Andrews, Seminole, Seagraves, etc. Spent a few years in West Texas and also in the PanhandleG.A. You have my sympathies, especially for Seminole and Seagraves. If you have lived in those two in the last 20 years there's a good chance we might know each other.OldCurlyWolf wrote:I know about Midland/Odessa. I have lived and worked there, more than once. No. That was over 50 years ago. Though I have been there in the late 90's.G.A. Heath wrote:You have my sympathies, especially for Seminole and Seagraves. A fellow from Connecticut once asked me how is was where I grew up. I told him you had 3 choices: Get tough, Leave or Die. I then told him I was grown before I left. He was working under the assumption that I chose the first choice listed.
