Motorcycle Vest for carrying
I am looking for options for a motorcycle vest that allows me to carry. Thus far, I have found these
http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Motorcy ... 44924.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.leatherup.com/p/Mens-Motorcy ... 83897.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Both of these seem to have a similar design, but for the life of me there is something I can't figure out: What is in the pocket to keep the gun from moving around? These pockets seem to be "one size fits all" - meaning they'll hold everything from a small frame .380 up to a full size 1911 .45.
Anyone on this group ride and have suggestions?

Re: Motorcycle Vest for carrying
I do ride and have bought the 2nd vest you listed several years ago. It is a lightweight vest and the pocket has no way to secure the weapon. Also, if you look at it closely, the pocket is a very thin cloth material that wears through in a short period of time.
For what its worth, I use an FMC vest. It is a heavier vest but very well made. I have had mine now for 6 years and the pocket is still very much in tact. It had an elastic strap inside to hold the weapon in place.

Get a couple 5.11 compression shirt with 2 pistol pockets. Then, you can wear whatever jacket or concealment garment of your choice.

At $239 (vs the $40 and $70 I was looking at) I would sure hope so.J Wilson wrote:Coronado Leather makes a really good vest
But perhaps I'm looking at this wrong. Rather than have the vest have a pocket for the firearm, maybe I would be better off with a shoulder harness worn under the vest?

keep an eye on ebay, you can usually get a coronado for a decent price there.

This is the vest I wear on the bike and carry with " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; its great. It has nylon straps in the inner pockets which hold the weapon (left inner pocket) and extra magazine (right inner pocket) very securely. As far as size, I am 5'11" 220lbs and the XXL is perfect size to go over a shirt.

That motorcycle vest would look good with motorcycle sandals.Zencyl wrote:This is the vest I wear on the bike and carry with " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; its great.
