Re: For ladies only
I showed this to my sister, and she thought it was very nice - until she looked at the price. My grandmother (mind you was a former seamstress of her time) scoffed at the price, too.
I have no comment because I don't understand what is fair?
I think it's a very cool concept!

Re: For ladies only
Mrs. Anygunanywhere just bought one. She abhors holsters and dislikes adjusting her wardrobe to carry. Purse carry is just waiting for the gun to be stolen. She was thrilled at the concept and the cost was not an issue. I have at least this much in unused holsters in drawers.

like I said earlier, I am a seamstress, it's a very fair price. she's using good lace, I sew Christening gowns, I know lace. She's reinforcing the seams well so they can hold the weapons. I wouldn't do it for this price. there's a lot of work going on here.
you have to understand, a small biz still has bills. we aren't just paying for the lace and the fabric, we have to cover electricity, the wear and tear on the sewing machine, and at some point, we'd like to make a payment on the car and maybe, just maybe, buy a new gun and go on vacation!

I have no objections! I think it's a cool concept. I see that this stuff is worn underneath a shirt, so is it necessary to have the lace at all? I'm a guy, so don't take ANY offense to this whatsoever, and just trying to make sense of it all. I have nice dress socks, which I pay a pretty penny for and no one sees them. I like them, and it's my thing. I was curious to know if this was more or less the same concept?

Re: For ladies only
My question is, how many women would wear it on a daily basis? Seems like you would have to purchase several so you could rotate. Not many women I know would want to wear it more than one day without washing it. I don't think many would want to wash it every day. Lets face it, in Texas' weather, it's gonna get a little funky at the end of the day.

Re: For ladies only
I don't know that I would want to wear it daily?
not sure. I would see how it wears and fits/hides the gun. personally, I would probably where my regular holster with my looser tops and this corset thing with my more "snug" fit ones. At least I think that's how it's suppose to fit?
The lace she is using is stretch lace, so it serves a purpose, it's not just regular lace like is what at the bottom of say a little girls dress or something, that's one reason why it's more expensive.
Oh, and she's using lace because it breathes, you wouldn't necc have to wash it every wearing unless you were outside sweating all day.

It's NOT a bra. It's only a belly band. I don't see why men can't wear those.baldeagle wrote:Some of you ladies might be interested in these, although you have to be fairly slender to use them AND they are a bit pricey.
I wouldn't wear it, but just sayin'....
Re: For ladies only
Just because someone is poor doesnt mean that they should live without a good gun and holster. I have a female friend that bought a .22 lr revolver for $100 from Academy. I modified the barrel so that it is shorter and remounted the front sight. Then, she made a similar holster to the one shown by sewing together an old bra strap for the back and some scrap cloth from an old t-shirt for the front with a pocket for the revolver. For her birthday gift, I gave her an extra cylinder for .22 magnum plus a box of HORNADY self-defense rated .22 magnum ammo. Just remember, that if you're carrying a SA revolver, to keep the chamber under the hammer empty due to a lack of a modern firing pin safety. Her entire setup costs less than what many pay for just the holster alone.jayinsat wrote:I agree with Mrs Anygun. That was the comment my wife made and that "corsets aren't comfortable", she loves her Betty holster for her Sig P238 but I see they are discontinuing it for some reasonCHLLady wrote:.. Also, this would be too hot to wear in Texas in August...

According to my wife, this is very comfortable and breathable. We'll know for sure this summer but. Don't think the August heat will be a problem.

Re: For ladies only
This corset looks like the way to go after watching the instant attack video from Ocoee Florida. Their was no way that lady could have defended herself except for a pre-emptive maneuver of the shopping cart between her and the attacker.
The violent 14 year old spawn of the Welfare State has been arrested. The very early stages of Societal Collapse look just about how I imagined and is right on pace...

she saying in the write ups that they are made of a breathable and wicking fabric, so I would think it should be ok in August, probably better than our leather holsters.jayinsat wrote:According to my wife, this is very comfortable and breathable.
