WI: Bloomberg loses another round

Dave Kopel at Volokh Conspiracy reports on a primary election for Sheriff in which Bloomberg dumped $150,000 to defeat the pro-2A sheriff candidate.

Since there was no Republican running for Sheriff, the outcome of the Democratic primary determines who becomes sheriff in Milwaukee County, WI.

The incumbent Sheriff David Clarke spoke at the recent NRA convention in Indianapolis (giving examples of citizen self-defense and denouncing Bloomberg) and aired two public service announcements last year urging citizens to arm themselves and to take advantage of the Wisconsin Personal Protection Act (their CHL law). Bloomberg dropped cash on his opponent to run TV and radio ads, but apparently that didn't do it. Absentee ballots have yet to be counted, but Clarke is beating his opponent by an even bigger margin than he did last time (same guy ran against him).

It should be illegal for some rich dude to attempt to buy a local election in a place where he doesn't even live.

Bloombutt is a waste of good oxygen. I hope he throws away similar amounts of money on a few gross more elections achieving the same results.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.
