Vest suggestions

Looking for suggestions for a vest to wear when carrying. Prefer as light and cool as possible. Thanks for any and all input.

That looks good and I like the sale price. I just wish I could wear that size.

Mrs. Chemist and I like this one:

Very lightweight and handy with lots of pockets.
Oh, and it is a really useful item when traveling.

Is that one long enough to cover an OWB holster?

I use these vests. 11POCKET and 8 POCKET A word of caution they need to be the next size larger if you are planning to wear them closed over an IWB or OWB rig. I rarely zip, button or snap a cover garment but some folks do. :tiphat:

Yes, perhaps I should have specified a long vest for cover for CC.

I bought a Magellan vest from Academy on sale for $10.00.

It says Adventure Gear on the inside label.

It's quite lightweight and has about a million pockets, some secret ones too....

I have used the magellans vest to cover an IWB. I doubt that it would be long enough to cover an OWB.

My Magellan is quite long enough for concealed carry, that's why I bought it.

Plus, the quality is high - I'm not sure, but I think their normal price was $45.00 or so.

I now wish for the $10.00 sale price, I'd bought two...

That's not a bad idea for manufacturers to offer as an upgrade for shoot me first vests.

Searching Academy website for Magellan doesn't yield any vests and a search for vests yields 3 with 2 being blaze orange and the third not good as a cover up vest.

LDB415,

I just noticed your post.

I bought the vest at the Academy you probably go to in Webster.

I'm guessing they marked them way down because they didn't sell well, though I don't why as they're very well made.

So, now I guess they don't carry them.
