The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence Attacks 30.06 Law

Let your legislators know how important the 30.06 law is to the integrity of Texas's CHL program. If these gun control activists don't like Texas Penal Code Section 30.06, maybe they'd prefer we repeal it and become the nineteenth state where no-carry signs have no force of law.

And these morons believe Law Abiding Citizens with a CHL are going around violently attacking businesses with firearms just because they can Legally Carry one past their gun-buster signs.
I suppose a "Don't Shoot Me" sign hanging around ones neck is all one needs to protect against "Gun Violence Attacks".

I don't believe the herd is repairable without a mass die off.

Agreed. What's even more disturbing than their ignorant statements (and profanity) is their absolutist attitude. It's what they say, goes and the heck with things like, laws, Anendments to the Constitution, etc. They behave like they do and they wonder why those who wish to retain and preserve their rights won't consider any compromise with them?

Like many other areas, compromise with these people is like taking small doses of a slow acting poison. You won't die today or tomorrow, but it's pretty much assured that your toast.

I love the "Disturbing developments" statement, as if this is something new.

Last night I watched the bio, "Who Is Harry Nilsson (And Why Is Everybody Talkin' About Him)?" on netflix. It was pretty good; that is until the last few minutes of the documentary when his pal, John Lennon died and Nilsson went into activist mode and started working with the National Coalition to Ban Handguns, which later changed its name to the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence.

This successful, middle aged man went to bed with a sense of financial security, and woke to the fact that he had only $300 to feed his 7 children..... and the documentary only briefly covers this major event in his life in order to include his brief involvement with gun control. I was left confused as to whether Nilsson recovered financially before he died. It was obvious that the producers intended to promote the anti sentiment. I was disappointed as it was a good documentary until this point.

For those of you who may not know, Harry Nilsson was a very prolific song writer and recording artist. He was a major force. The Beatles considered him the best in the business with songs such as; Everybody's Talkin , One (is the loneliest number), Coconut - way too many to list here.

Nilsson Schmilsson was one of my fave albums in the 70s. And I remember the animated movie "The Point" (narrarated by Ringo Starr, no less). " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I couldn't resist posting something to their page. So I basically told them that they can keep concealed carry permit holders out by following the law, but no matter what sign they put up, the real criminals will ignore them. I'm sure my comment will be deleted or I'll be attacked, but I can't just stay silent.

*EDITED TO ADD: As of 6:30 PM, my comment was still up, and I had gotten 10 "Likes" for it. Not too bad for something on an "anti" page. We'll see if it lasts, though.

Why don't they just hang a 'don't shoot me' sign around their neck and be safe? Maybe it's because they care...for the idiots that won't hang the sign around THEIR neck...SMH (that's the first time I have used that little acronym thingy but it seemed appropriate)

An example of why we need to be careful what and how we say things on here and in other venues. They will use anything and everything even if they have to twist it and take it out of context.

We just need to keep pointing to the facts and avoid falling into the emotional argument.

You should find out what you can do under the law. As long as these fools believe they can do anything it will just get worse.
