7 die in Houston

#1

Post by philip964 »

A man killed six relatives and shot one more in Houston today. He then went on a quest to kill more relatives but was intercepted by the police. He the went on a televised OJ chase through Spring. He is now trapped in his car at the end of a culdesac. This is still active at the moment.

Then at almost the same time a veteran firefighter was killed putting out a residential fire.

Then the news starts talking about all his ammunition exploding in the house fire. Oh great isthis what killed the firefighter?

Five of the people killed were children.

RIP.

I'm not going to argue with the title. They'll get traction from this.

Terribly tragedy and prayers to the family.

A little homage to the victims in the title would be nice.

Very sad situation. Are you saying the fire was started by the gunman? Even if he set the fire smokeless ammunition in a fire has very little energy, not nearly enough to be lethal. There have been myriad demonstrations of unsupported ignition of smokeless cartridges and shell and fires the demonstrate that fact. They barely penetrate cardboard and sheetrock.

But at the same time if the family would've have a firearm it could have had the potential to stop the gunman in his tracks. Ijs. RIP to the family, and my prayers go out to the surviving 15 y.o. victim/hero in this case.

Shooter was evil encarnate. Came to the house with only the kids at home, rounded hem up and then ambushed the parents when they came home. Really sweet looking family from the photo I saw today.

A real tragedy, my sincere condolences to the friends and family.

The residential house fire was unrelated. A 21 year veteran died searching the house for victims. I don't know if his death was related at all to the ammunition that was exploding as was reported.

Evil men will do evil things. In this case after it is proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it we should give him access to a minister or a priest. Then take him to a cinder block wall and shoot him. Put him down like the mad dog that he is.

Man arrived at the house in a FEDX uniform. The 15 year old would not let him in. He broke the door down. Captured and tied up the 15 year old. Then as each child came home he captured and tied them up. Same with the parents when they came home. He then questioned them as to the location of their sister/aunt, his ex wife. As each said they did not know, they were shot and killed. The 15 year old played dead and told the police where he was headed. He was driving up to her uncle's house when the chase started.

This guy came from California, just to do this. He is also a drama queen. He collapsed in the court room yesterday and had to be taken out in a wheel chair. I haven't wanted a guy put to death this much since Ronald Clark O'Bryan.

The firefighters air pack may have failed or their may have been some other cause. Nothing more has been said of the exploding ammunition.

RIP

7 were shot but 6 died. And why did you change the title of the thread OP? Wasn't it originally titled "more fuel for the antis" or something similar to that?

Redneck_Budda felt the title was not very sympathetic to the victims. I agreed and changed it.

Two unrelated incidents occurred exactly at the same time in Houston. Both involved ammunition. A total of seven people died. Six from gun shot wounds, one firefighter from unknown causes. At the time the newsmedia was making a big deal of the ammunition exploding in a house where the firefighter died. Now that appears to have not been related to the firefighters death at the fire.

The 15 year old girl who survived being shot in the head has been released from the hospital already.

Today 20 percent of your purchase at Chic Fil A 's in Houston goes to the Stay Family who was brutally murdered earlier.
One teenaged girl was the only survivor. She survived being shot in the head and survived the ordeal by playing dead. She has made a remarkable recovery and is out of the hospital.

I believe her family's funeral is today.

What an evil bum. :mad5

"Bum" was not my first choice of words.

WRT to the firefighter/ammo story, RIP for the firefighter, sad to hear he went down.
As for the "exploding ammo" I guess we should send this to the Houston news outlets: SAAMI - Sporting Ammunition and the Fire Fighter
I have fought structure fire with burning ammo before - could hear it popping, but it never exited the closet it was in.

What a disgusting coward. Beats women, murders defenseless children, and runs from the guys with guns. Though the police did the right thing I can't help wishing they'd taken out the trash instead.

I wished they would have sniped him while he was in his car.
