thing is Sonic equals kids, and typically teens, and often families. Why do this? all this does is scare the moms, frighten the kids because mom is scared. there is no reason other than to act the bully and make themselves look like the big guy.

Here is my thought on the calling ahead. If I owned a business and the OC called to ask I would say no. Businesses are open to make money, OC groups scare away customers and they leave out the door with my potential sale. Even though I support the 2a, I need money to keep my doors open.

I would tell them no for the simple fact that I am pro 2A and their actions are detrimental to the cause - money wouldn't come into play in that decision at all.

Really? You are a restaurante, you have a semi-private patio/party room. You receive a request for a Tuesday evening (when OC dinners are in Richmond) reservation with 50-70 law abiding people coming and you are going to turn that $$ down based on the hope that other people will come in on a not so busy evening. That is your business decision, but not the one I would make.

This is why there will be more trouble in TX with the OCers. A reasonable compromise was made and rejected out of hand.

This is not a country where we get to tell people to shut it and sit down. This is a nation where dialog can will and must take place. If the 2nd amendment people do not come together in reasonable conversation then a house divided against itself will not stand. The anti's will win and we all lose.

It's not possible to have reasonable conversations with unreasonable people. Every organization with a proven track record of getting pro gun bills passed in TX has asked these people to stop or at least change their approach and still they refuse. Legislators who are fighting to promote passage of pro gun bills have asked them to stop intimidating people and they still refuse to stop. Business after business has asked them to stop so they go to the next business and the next business with the same result. What they are doing is the definition of insanity.
The fact is simple, if these groups do not stop there will not only be no chance of passing OC, we will be fighting a battle to stop anti gun legislation - a battle we wouldn't have to fight if it weren't for these idiots.

Well, I might consider boycotting them if I actually ate at either one of them. Kind of difficult to boycott a place that you don't frequent. :)

I support Open Carry, but I do not believe that they should be doing it with the ARs since although legal, it is a bit large of a first step in getting people to get used to what we already know is legal. You need to start small and get people used to seeing firearms in public. Start out with something a bit less scary for those people who suffer incontinence at the sight of an EBR (Evil Black Rifle). Maybe some sort of single shot / muzzle loader to start with?

Blunderbuss anyone?

Showed the video to the wife. She says she would have immediately bailed through the kitchen.

Sigh...from the article...
In recent months, gun enthusiasts have held rallies and openly carried firearms, including large automatic weapons, into restaurants
I didn't see pics of the whole scene, but I'm fairly confident that no one was carrying "automatic" weapons. :banghead:

The CHilis one had an AK, An AR and some rifle I couldn't recognize. They could have been select fire. We don't know.

As far as I'm concerned, *compromise* is what has gotten us into the sorry condition we are currently in. Every attempt at compromise has resulted in the leftists gaining ground and then using that as a point to further assault our 2nd Amendment guaranteed rights. The time for compromise is over. We need to put the leftists on the defensive. We need to take back ground.

This noise obviously does NOBODY any good. On the other hand, has anyone considered that this may actually be a Bloomberg funded group??? WOW, what a GREAT way to turn the average "I don't really have an opinion about guns" person into someone who WOULD support more gun control.... Don't think the other side is that smart, but then again, the best way to destroy ANY group is from WITHIN.... Has anyone done any research on the folks in this group and the history of their political affiliations????? Just sayin'......
