Missouri allows teachers to carry guns on campus

The bill also lowers the age to legally concealed carry from 21 to 19 and allows for "limited open carry" in the state as well.

According to Guns.com, SB656 passed by a vote of 111 to 28. It allows "school districts to cross-train faculty to become 'School Protection Officers.'"

Missouri is already an open carry state. It has been legal there forever. The only difference is cities could enact ordinances to prohibit open carry of a firearm. Now, if you have a CHL you will be able to open carry even in those cities that it was once illegal in.

That is nice. I wonder, though; does this part "Any person who violates these provisions may be issued a citation for up to $35" apply to the citizen who's carrying, or the LEO who "disarms or restrains a citizen without any reasonable and articulable suspicion of criminal activity"? It's a little ambiguous... those smart lawyers need an editor.
