can't figure out what my next pistol will be....
So I'm trying to figure out what will be my next pistol. I don't need anything, and I already have a few CC guns. My LGS has a couple of pistols that I wouldn't mind having. One is a Glock 23 Gen4 in FDE color, the other is a CZ 75 SP-01. Both are about the same price and both a little hard to come by. I have two Glocks already (G19 and G29), but I have never fired a CZ. I read great things about them but I'd like to heard from y'all and see what y'all think.

CZ 75's are a great, classic DA/SA handgun design. Personally, I don't like the trigger feel differences between a double action first shot and single action subsequent shots in any DA/SA design. Try the trigger for yourself since this is a personal preference.

When in doubt, buy a 1911!

I already own a 1911. Lol.
The CZ 75 sp 01 I found has a safety only. So I'd only use it in SA mode because I'm not a fan of dropping the hammer on a live round. :) Plus the CZ comes with tru dot night sights.

I love my CZ SP-01 Shadow. While I use mine for competition, I nicely tuned SP-01 could be a formidable, albeit large defensive gun.

That's also next...but I will probably build one.carlson1 wrote:AR-15 Pistol.

I was thinking about getting back into IPSC/ USPSA and I think the SP-01 would make a good Production gun.Big Bronze Rim wrote:I love my CZ SP-01 Shadow. While I use mine for competition, I nicely tuned SP-01 could be a formidable, albeit large defensive gun.

That's exactly what mine is setup for. I'm running CGW and CZ Custom parts. DA is 5.5lbs and SA is 2lbs. It's an awesome gun.BAW254 wrote:I was thinking about getting back into IPSC/ USPSA and I think the SP-01 would make a good Production gun.Big Bronze Rim wrote:I love my CZ SP-01 Shadow. For the price of the next 1911 I want, I can buy both of these guns. I'd like a S&W E series SC 4.25 barrel with the bobbed frame. But the last one i saw was $1100.

I have a CZ 75 SP-01 Phantom. It has the sweetest DA trigger pull of any DA/SA I've ever fired. Way better than the Beretta. It's easy to shoot accurately, though than may partly be a function of how well the gun fits my particular hand. The only problem I've had with mine is finding the kind of holster I want.BAW254 wrote:So I'm trying to figure out what will be my next pistol. What kind of holster are you looking for? I have a friend that does Kydex holsters and does a really nice job. He's my go to guy for any holster needs.VMI77 wrote:I have a CZ 75 SP-01 Phantom.
