If I did drink, which I don't, I wouldn't do it at bars.

That's why I make my own beer. Bars are loud and expensive.

If he's found guilty, he should be returned to California by dropping him out of an airplane.

I preach to my children the prudence of avoiding the "Iron Triangle of Trouble": avoid bad places with bad people doing bad things. Sometimes I phrase it as avoid stupid places with stupid people doing stupid things.

Hanging out in a bar getting drunk qualifies. Hope if Mr. Golo Acosta comes out of his coma, he learns this lesson.

FML, is that picture about a girl who tried to press rape charges on someone, but couldn't because she was drunk under age? Just curious as to what that means.

You have the right to go to a bar and get drunk and not end up in a coma, but that law is cold comfort when you're not around to enjoy it.

While what the police said to the girl was unkind, it was never the less very true. If she wasn't drunk then she might have had a better chance not getting raped. Doesn't condone what happened, shouldn't place blame, just a statement of fact.
If you're driving over the speed limit and lose control of the car, isn't that the same thing? You were breaking a law and something bad happened. You wouldn't feel guilty about telling someone they should not have been speeding.

In an ideal world you would be able to walk wherever you want, whenever you want and do whatever you want (as long as it didn't interfere with the rights of others).
Of course if you could do that then you wouldn't really need a CHL either, so by definition a CHL holder realized there's enough stupid people out there doing stupid things that you need a stupid stopper.

It is a little verbose to become catchy, but there is a lot of good meat in there.
