This is very revealing...

I know I try real hard to find topical issues to post for discussion...But this is one of those I think is very telling about certain people...

http://www.tampatrib.com/MGBF1S6U1FE.html

I actually didn't think there were too many of them still out there that have the "nerve" (the best PG rated description I could actually post and not get yelled at) to write such antagonistic drivle...

Good thing he doesn't write for any rags here in Texas...

But when you think about it, if this ever made print, I'd say that was a real waste of a tree or two...

Enjoy...

I couldn't stand it...I felt compelled to write a response, knowing it has a chance in hell of seeing publication...

I tried to be as nice as I could...Maybe too nice...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Its almost a comfort to know that there are still journalists (I use the term loosely) that are so uneducated about one issue, that they actually get paid to produce such a misguided, bias and slanderous article. I hope this stayed on the internet; to print this would have been a wasted death of a tree.

Believe me, at this point I would urge the creator of this article to NOT, repeat NOT, try to understand what a benefit he has done to our side of the issue. As of now it has been widely distributed to many discussion forums around the internet, and has many of us in stitches like watching an episode of the Golden Girls.

Yes, there are a LOT of law-abiding and honest citizens of the great State of Florida, that after they see the way they have been summarily demonized by someone of this "low" caliber, that the Tampa Tribune become one more information source thrown upon the trash heap of antiquity.

In other words, printing out lies and saying mean things about potential readership is not a good way to stay in business. But I suggest you carry on. It gives us comfort to know you're out there.

Thank you for posting the article, and congradulation on NOT flaming that liberal (insert bad word here) into next week! I will not write a response to the editor on this one just yet, think I need a few minutes to cool down after reading this garbage. It would just add fuel to his fire if I were to send my opinions in my current state of mind.

Wonderful post, thank you.

I know exactly where you are coming from...Its hard not to write a very pointed response to this numbnut...

My response was phrased to give half a snowballs chance in hell to get released as a response to this unrelenting, antagonistic bunch of bull...

I watch a lot of the media in Texas on issues like this, and if someting like this ever saw the light of day in this state, it would get the same kind of response...

Just remember, they're idiots, and they have the right to be idiots...And unfortunately we have to respect that right of theirs to be one...

Remember, if anything he said was true...Would we have this forum to talk about the issue???

Would we even have permits to carry in the first place???

Wow! Talk about a moron. I thought that Florida residents overwhelmingly support concealed carry legislation. If that's the case, this guy is way off base with his readers.
