Tavor rifle-Trigger Geissele
Attention, Tavor rifle owners: Geissele has on their website a description of their trigger pack for this rifle. You can input your email for notification of product availability. The Geissele trigger pack is purported to reduce trigger pull from factory 11-12 lbs to 4.5lbs. Sweet! The price is steep at $350. Sweet but ouch.
I love my Tavor for its ergonomics and balance but do hate the trigger. This solution from Geissele just may make my dreams come true.

I just put a Geisselle trigger on my SCAR.
Now it's Two-Stage Awesomesauce, with little joyous sprinkles on top!

I have been standardizing on their triggers on all my AR's. Good products.
Re: Tavor rifle-Trigger Geissele
It seems to me when I first looked at the Tavor early last year I also saw a video where a guy had easily fixed the trigger problem, I think by removing a [supposedly unnecessary] spring.TNacp99 wrote:I love my Tavor for its ergonomics and balance but do hate the trigger.
I wonder if you tried that.
Re: Tavor rifle-Trigger Geissele
You're right, the adjustment was to remove one of the springs to lighten the trigger pull. I saw a lot of you tube videos on that as well as read various opinions on different forums. My interpretation of the available data was that removing the spring definitely lightens the trigger pull. However, there were some potential issues: 1) it voided any warranty on the rifle, which is not a huge issue except that Tavor spare parts, (especially an OEM trigger pack) are difficult to come by, 2) there were reports of malfunctions and reliability from removing the spring.
It was the latter reason discouraged me from removing the spring. I modify a lot of my firearms but never want to do anything that would affect its reliability. I probably was being overly cautious but cest la vie.

A LOT of Tavor owners been waiting on this trigger pack from Geissele & imho: Well worth the wait/$$$.
Tried a friends Tavor, loved everything about it . . . but, as stated the trigger was ____
- Main thing that put me off was the factory trigger, no excuses now :)

Did I shoot that before or after you put that trigger in?The Marshal wrote:I just put a Geisselle trigger on my SCAR.

we might be getting them when they're released so keep an eye on the site. http://www.primaryarms.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There are a few of us at the shop that have Tavors so I'd bet we'll get them.

Cool, although, all this talk about Geissel triggers here and in other threads has got me to pondering replacing my stock trigger. The Marshal wrote:No sir, you shot the notchy stock trigger.C-dub wrote:Did I shoot that before or after you put that trigger in?The Marshal wrote:I just put a Geisselle trigger on my SCAR.

Thanks for telling. I'm with you re: reliability, and although the Tavor IDF stays on my shopping list, it'll remain there for a while as the price (now with new trigger!) has me holding-off for the time being anyway.TNacp99 wrote:You're right, the adjustment was to remove one of the springs to lighten the trigger pull.
