I wouldn't be surprised if they do that. Some sites have already been censored. But then even here we get censored from time to time, and that is a private owners right. We can either comply or post else where.

Not too surprising. Facebook has the right to decide what is sold via their company. While it would give me pleasure to stick it to them and cancel my account, I do use it for business. I would imagine it wouldn't be feasible for millions of other gun owners to cancel their accounts either.

It is the thing that all of the "older" crowd are using now. The younger, hipper, generation have pretty much all gone to Instagram....or so my daughter tells me... :smilelol5:

I've seen this story pop up on 3-4 gun related FB pages I follow and I think it may be blown a bit out of proportion. The driving force behind this seems to be pages that allow WTS/WTB/WTT postings for firearms. I think that's all FB is considering banning (selling guns via FB is already banned by FB), pages that violate terms of use in this manner.

But some seem to be trying to spin this into a censorship issue, projecting that FB will ban ALL gun-related pages. I seriously doubt that (publicity would be horrible for FB - just see what happened to A&E over the Duck Dynasty issue). IF they DID ban all gun-related pages I would immediately delete my account with an explanation why. But I seriously don't see this happening.

A couple of days ago, I tried to post a link from a Beretta blog (on shooting with both eyes open) on the DCSA Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/dentoncountysports" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The link appeared for just a few seconds, then disappeared. After trying it 3 times, thinking maybe an "operator error", I gave up and deleted my comments and the entire attempt.

My ladies shooting group does all of our communication via Facebook. When's the next meeting, what training classes are coming up, who bought what shiny new gun, can you recommend a holster, does anyone have the model of gun I want to try... no problems yet that I'm aware of.
