Welcome. I've been to a couple of the Elm Fork Shoots, but had a conflict on this one. Hope I get to meet up with you at a future shoot.

Howdy, all. I just joined the site today. I live up in Cleburne and am currently waiting on my CHL application to be approved. I applied back in mid January and the Web site just updated this week. I teach history at a community college, so had been waiting for the last two sessions for the Leg. to update the CHL law to allow for legal carry on college campuses. Since I spend most of my time either at work or at home and I don't like to make a habit out of leaving a firearm in my vehicle, I was waiting on the Leg. However, after the failure of the Leg. to amend the law last session and because the college I work for started offering CHL classes, I went ahead and applied for my license now. :txflag:

I'm 47, married and have three kids - an 8 year old daughter and twins (boy and girl) age 1. Aside from teaching and raising kids, I like to hunt, surf, and practice martial arts (Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Taekwondo and of course, shooting).
