I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. I pray for his family and friends through this difficult time.

Wow. Horrible news to read. I never had the pleasure of meeting Alan. For those who know his family, please extend the condolences of folks like me on the forum. Will be praying for his family and friends to find comfort in these difficult times.

As Melinda [Alan's sister] will tell you, although Alan was at times a solitary man, he loved his son, his family, friends, and Brandy.
He especially loved his rights as a citizen of a free country.
Alan fought for and endorsed the right to bear arms for all Americans and practiced what he preached.

I met Alan twice. I bought a nice Marlin levergun from him, and then sold it back to him a few months later. We chatted both times. Good guy, he is missed. RIP Alan
