Here's a piece of acrylic I cut this evening. This is the second try and it turned out good enough that I'll probably build a mount for it. 1/2" acrylic cut on a home-built CNC with a 60° V-bit. I cut it .010" deep and it looks like it should have been about 1/2 that deep. Oh well, live and learn.

Except that it's showing the left side features on the right side of the gun it turned out ok. I'll remember next time...

No, you're mistaken. That's a Randall left-hand 1911.

I had no idea such a thing existed until I Googled it. I knew there were models made with an ambidextrous safety but I had never seen one with the slide lock on the wrong side (sorry lefties but it is the wrong side.)

Thanks, I hope you're right! I've already had lots of interest but at this point there's no way to make any money off of them without charging far more then any sane person would pay.

I'm working with a home built CNC that is far from production ready along with a massive shortage of the necessary skills that it requires. Maybe someday...

Not as cool as others DIY, or other DIY I've done. But This is my first lower build, and I don''t have space for a work bench. I've read of many people building a platform for people to stand on while they torque down the barrel nut. So I build one.

This may belong in another heading since I didn't build it. Found this bag at Sears on sale for $5.99 and I thought it would make a great simple gear bag. It makes a perfect case carrier for shotgun shells, but it would hold just about anything. I put 6 boxes of 12 ga in it for the pictures and there's room to spare. 12 inch Big Mouth Bag

I always try and find 'plain' looking bags to hold most of my stuff when i can and 6 bucks for a ammo bag is not to bad. Wal-mart has some cheap tool boxes that i use to hold my ammo. Driving around with a vehicle full of "Craftsmans tools" is better than driving around with bags with "NRA" and "Smith and Wesson" on them.

I have been looking more and more into more discrete rifle bags, gym bags that kind of thing.
