Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.
There is no safety in denial. When seconds count the Police are only minutes away.
Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?

HD121 Joe Straus* R A
Me thinks the TSRA needs to rethink the way they score folks. I understand that they are rating his actual voting record, but how about the started grading folks 2 ways.

Voting Record- A
Action Record- F-

No offense, to Charles especially, but how can I trust the rating on any other candidate on this list when I know Staus' is garbage.

I feel the same way, and add John Carona to the list. His recent TV ads are creepy.
"...for the small guy, etc etc...." BUT, I won't forget his little attempt to make him
and his Austin ilk a "special" group of CHL holders. Good enough for the ruling class, but,
not good enough for us common folks.

You're right, but he did so at the request of Senator Dan Patrick who convinced Sen. Hinojosa to let him carry HB508 in the Senate. Absent Patrick's meddling, HB508 would have passed without his elitist amendment.

Tells me what I need to know about my current State Senator.

I think he might be happier focusing all his energies on the radio business.

How about a TexasCHLforum voting guide? Especially for the big state races.

Noted. And, I've already decided who my vote for Lt Gov. will be. Not DP.
Currently looking into Don Huffines. Tried to get on his website but you have
to "register". I just wanted to read his info, not have email exchanges etc.

Somehow include the Fed races too. Senority or not, Cornyn has to go. And, I hope he takes his 2 faced,
Washington entrenched, self serving cohorts with him (McConnell, Corker, McCain etal). All a bunch of
RINO's. All the political manuvers, back door dealing, and compromise has gotten the USA into MORE
debt. How do you cut debt? Raise taxes. I'm not even talking deficit. Debt. Good lordy, afraid of butting heads
...... Ted Cruz, like him or hate him. At least he is doing (or trying too) what he said he would. I need to stop,
because I feel a vent coming on and I don't want to get too bent this late in the evening.
