Prototypes for the newly designed AR-15 are hitting gun shops across New York, as gun shops and machinists have designed a rifle that complies with the anti-gun law.

At least one gun shop has received a letter from state police saying that the new AR-15 style rifles should be legal in the state as long as they don’t have some of the features that the law prohibits.

It should be interesting to fire without straight line recoil, but I'm sure it's fully functional.

I'm not sure what the point of the odd buffer tube extension is, though. Maybe it's just reinforced to resist drops and dings since it's no longer inside the stock.

So can you change parts out on your pre-existing gun or does it have to be permanently modified?

That part makes sense, but the way it's built looks strange. It looks like it has vents or something toward the rear. Maybe it's designed to reduce the sound and vibration of the buffer and spring.

A big, no GIANT, slap in the face to all the idiots who voted for it and all the others that supported that abominable law.

Better pics.

You don't see the beauty in giving the gun grabbers a punch in the gut.?

That weapon wasn't designed for aesthetic beauty. It's designed to make a point. And it was executed beautifully, IMO. :fire

My maroons comment is meant for those who passed the law requiring the modifications to make a rifle leagal, not the ones who produced the end result. My bad for not being more clear.
