It is getting weird!

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

There is a good example what some students these days have in their mind.

Back in ancient times when I was on campus, people would sign petitions for anything, especially if the petioner was easy on the eyes. :tiphat:

I think I signed one call for Big Bird to be impeached once. yes Sesame Street's Big Bird.

I wonder how many told him to shove it? I don't think they were even listening to anything he was saying, just signing to sign. I doubt he would get the same responces at say....Texas A&M, maybe UT? :confused5

I think I recall a show that got women to sign a petition to fight Women's Suffrage. A few women knew what it was, but many seemed to have no idea.

I would sign it. I don't like to see women suffer.

There was one similar to this a year or so ago. I think it was the whole constitution he was looking to repeal. (It was a joke). Maybe it was just the Bill of Rights. But he was making it clear what people were signing and still getting signatures.

It wasn't on a college campus. More like a busy street corner.

What is really sad is that these people can vote.

This has nothing to do with "out education system" and everything to do with people that are mindless idiots!

What's even worse is that they do.

Ultimately? Themselves.

I'm part of the current "moron generation," but never paid my membership dues. It's possible to break out of the stifling fog of stupidity, but they've got to realize they're stupid first, and be willing to go looking for information.

Too many would rather watch Who wants to Dance with a Millionaire, or do that twerping whatever thing it is my generation and younger do these days. I dunno; I chose to be an old man about such things before I was 20.

Let 'em sleep in the bed they make, and I'll turn down my own sheets, too.

One thing you can be sure of, it makes it much easier for someone such as yourself who doesn't mind earning respect rather than demanding it to get ahead in life. I am amazed at the level of selfish, gets minze I witness from the 20-27 age range walking in my door acting like they deserve a job and top pay. Simply because they "need it" to pay their bills. In the old days, folks would come into a job interview and tell you what they have to offer as a benefit to the company. I am not kidding, the first words out of their mouths is often, how much do you pay or what kind of vacation time do you offer.
