Yes I remember those days. You could swing by and pick up stuff on the way to deer camp. Hopefully they will be back.

I remember when it wasn't locked in a cabinet.
Some places it still isn't.
YMMV.

Wow... That would have been high three years ago but isn't bad in today's market. Darn, I have been searching for a box or two. Maybe it will start showing up more.Beiruty wrote:$19.97 per 550rds of 22LR. Or some 3.7 cents per rd.03Lightningrocks wrote:That picture makes me sad wildbill.

That is quite the score Beiruty. How much per box for the 22 LR?...that's a great price even 3 years ago...less than $2.00 a box...$20.00 / 11boxes...500 round bricks were around $16-17 5 years ago.

Re: Went Shopping Today For Ammo
For anyone who is in pinch and need some 22LR, PM me. I can share a block, 100 rds at a time
Or, you can go Walmart in Lucas, TX and try your luck to grab a block or 2. Call in before you drive.

Re: Went Shopping Today For Ammo
Maybe old age is catching up with me. I paid 9.96 for a 500 round box of that very same ammo at Walmart. I purchased two boxes. You fellers have me thinking I may have purchased them more years ago than I remember. I would have sworn it was just the other day, but then again, there seems to be many other life events I think were just the other day that my family tells me were ten years ago. Yikes!!! This is getting scary. I think I am becoming my grand pa.
Thinking about it, the restaurant charge me 2.50 for a cup of coffee this morning! What happened to 50 cents with free refills?

Unfortunately the answer is the same thing that happened to ten cent pay phone calls.
Come to think of it, it happened to the pay phones too.......
