Just redid it, definitely did the upload. Instantly got the exact same email confirmation back. Guess I'll see if I get a follow up email next week.

Cut that one close. Looks like things are speeding up a little. Glad you won't have to "go without".

Glad to hear you are not gonna have a gap in your licensing. :thumbs2:

Curious though as to why renewals are so fast I guess they are done by a different group of people or maybe they get priority? :rules:

Much less to process. No class paperwork, no fingerprints, and technically the background check would only need to cover the last 5 years. Should pretty much be a "yep, you paid your money - here's your plastic" type of thing.

One last reply and I'm done for a while. Just wanted to give others hope that things are now moving pretty quickly in the beginning stages.

This email just received after I sent my email yesterday:

"We have received the necessary information for your CHL application. No further action or documents are required on your part at this time. A specialist will review and process your application. If anything further information is required we will contact you by regular mail. The online status of your application will likely update just before the process completes. This can take up to 8 weeks from when your last documents were submitted.

Please allow staff sufficient time to continue processing your application. For more information on status changes and updates visit http://www.DPS.Texas.gov" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or go to the Status Check link."

This means they are actually confirming receipt of everything. I'll start checking the site periodically for status updates. I cannot wait... :waiting:

Something they should have been doing all along. Would have saved them a lot of heart ache.
