12/9/2013 Called state - told it would be another 4 weeks.
01/16/2014 - FINALLY A STATUS CHANGE!!!!!!! Background under review - printing pending upon complete background. Maybe by Easter?
Maybe theres hope afterall............

Thing seem to be moving along. Checked this morning - less than 24 hours background has been completed and status has manufacturing!!!!!!

I submitted my application on 11/13/2013 and it was received on 11/18/2013

How long does it normally take after this status ?

Fingerprints submitted: 12/02/13

Email sent: 01/08/14 (to verify everything was received-for peace of mind)
Email reply received: (today) 01/17/14, stating everything has been received and forwarded to a specialist.

So does anyone know if my waiting period starts from 12/2 when the last of my documents were submitted or if it starts from today? (From the notification that all documents have been received)

I live in a small town, but not necessarily a safe town. I'm a female that exercises outside daily (usually alone). I can hold my own, but am anxiously awaiting this CHL!

Mine went from background "under review" to manufacturing in less than 24 hours - hope the same happens for you!

Ditto to golferced. My timeline was virtually identical (to golferced's: completed CHL class about NOvember 6th, had already done fingerprints, submitted required doc via e-mail AND postal mail and got "received" e-mail around mid November), been checking almost daily for past couple of weeks, called once last week and got futility voice message (what is.... is). Found this forum and thread this morning, checked again and low and behold... FINALLY! got same status update as golferced:

I emailed my documents to them on 11-12-2013.

Guess I belong in the November waiting section. Applied online and mailed info 11/27.

Friend of mine just received his license a week or so ago. Said it was 84 days mailbox to mailbox.

I'm at day 51, so figure sometime towards the end of next month.

Well I checked yesterday and got the typical "blah blah is waiting on the receipt of required materials blah blah". I almost didn't check this morning, but decided to and saw that it had updated. That's how I know the when the status changed for me.

70 calendar days and still no update. Another week of no joy. Oh well maybe next week.
