Anyone ever eat Cream of Chicken soup?
I was feeling lazy tonight and didn't want to cook or go out. All I had that wasn't frozen was a can of Campbells Cream of Chicken soup. Figured I get fancy so i used milk instead of water to mix it with. I am going to warn everyone now. This stuff is made for cooking in other dishes, not eating as a soup. I feel like I am gonna be sick!

I am thinking I should have gone with the box of Rice a Roni instead.jmra wrote:I wonder if it taste better the second time.03Lightningrocks wrote:I was feeling lazy tonight and didn't want to cook or go out. Used to eat it over toast.

I don't know about Cream of Chicken but there is a restaurant, 4B's, in Polson, MT that serves a Cream of Tomato soup that is to die for. Yummo!
BTW, we hope you get to feelin' better pretty soon.

cream of chicken already has dried milk in it...(which is why we don't have any "cream of * in the house any more)..probably should have used water you've overloaded yourself with milk, have a tall glass of water, you'll feel alot better.

my all time favorite dish (right next to cast iron skillet fried squirrel dipped in flour and salt and pepper ) is potatoes sliced a 1/4 thick and mixed with ground beef or deer and a can of cream of chicken soup. makes a casserole of sort. pretty simple yet perfect.

I won't be making that mistake again.
That casserole doesn't sound half bad airborne. Simple too.

My youngest did the same thing! She promptly dumped it right out. I also warned her about the cream of mushroom soup. That girl loves soup.
I just make her a real quick egg drop soup when she wants something other than ramen or canned. She loves it.
I mostly use cream of mushroom when I make crock pot roast.

If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

One would think at 52, I should know better. I am still tasting that stuff. I am hoping my morning coffee kills it.CHLLady wrote: My youngest did the same thing! She promptly dumped it right out. I also warned her about the cream of mushroom soup. That girl loves soup.

Re: Anyone ever eat Cream of Chicken soup?
I've never tried cream of chicken soup straight, only use it in other recipes. I do love me some cream of mushroom soup though. I use water, not milk when making it as straight soup. Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches are a staple in my household.
