Passing of a CHL Instructor - Roy Weeks (Capt Roy)

Roy Lee Weeks
Roy Lee Weeks, passed away December 10. He was born April 17, 1946 in Templeton, California. The family will receive friends at 5 pm and a service will be held at 6pm on Sunday, December 15, at Crowder Funeral Home in Webster. A grave side service with full military honors will be at 10:45 am, Monday, December 16 in Houston National Cemetery.

Roy had been a CHL Instructor and a member of this forum (Capt. Roy) for 2 years. He was known as Capt. Roy, having a business as certifying sailing Captains for the US Coast Guard. Roy was recently seen at the CHL training here in Houston on November 22nd. He was the one in the wheel-chair. He was a "good guy" and I was happy to call him my friend. We had both worked together at the Johnson Space Center for multiple contractors. I just wanted to let some of his friends on here know of his passing.

Thank you for the notice. Capt Roy and I did some horse trading via this forum and found him to be an extremely interesting and accomplished gentleman. Saw him last some months ago at the Mamacitas on NASA Rd 1 enjoying dinner with his wife and family. Condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
