So what does that say about all of his officers? Are their guns unloaded or are they all murderers in training?

His and his mayor's bodyguards carry sticks and stones, yes?

This comment came out of the current POTUS' adopted home town, where's the surprise?

There's a lot of competition for the stupidest gun related quote ever, but this one makes it past the qualifying trials.

So he has an unblemished record then. :biggrinjester:

The Chief fOf Detectives once threatened McCloud (Dennis Weaver) by suggesting that the safety on his (the Chief)s revolver could malfunction while pointed at McCloud. That was, I think, after McCloud with his SAA .45 bested the scores of the Detectives .38s.

Politically, Slick Willie Clinton, once characteried the Black Talon line of JHP as a buzz saw at 100,00 rpm.

And the list goes on, and on, and..

Chicago, the city where the Jon Burge, a former Chicago police commander who led a secret unit within the police department that carried out systemic torture during interrogations between 1972 and 1991.

Chicago, the city of former mayor Richard M. Daley, where revelations of coerced confessions were largely fought in court, rather than settled. Mr. Daley was the Cook County state’s attorney during parts of Burge's tenure and successfully prosecuted many of these cases. So far, he has avoided testifying under oath and has largely dodged, or remained silent, about the growing revelations.

Chicago, where a man was forced to confess for a 1982 sexual assault after John Byrne and Peter Dignan allegedly beat him with a flashlight and a 20-inch piece of rubber. He was convicted and sentenced to 100 years in prison.

Chicago, where the statutes of limitations protect Burge, Byrne, and Dignan from prosecution. No worry, there are only 100 or so more cases pending where these law enforcement officers obtained “confessions” from people and sent them to prison.

No reason for any distrust in the system. Move along civillian.

After plea bargaining and probation, weapons offenders in Chicago often serve just months or weeks -- if that.

So the punishment does not fit the menace to society in his view?

"Absolutely not, and if you don't believe me, ask the Pendletons," he said.

Fifteen-year-old Hadiya Pendleton was murdered on the way home from school last Jan. 29.
Well, they arrest people, slap 'em on the wrist, and let them go. What do they expect? I'm not suggesting that their laws or their attitude are appropriate, but I'm pointing out that their actions are not consistent with their rhetoric. If they think that the "crime" of carrying a gun is so bad, why not lock people up for 10 years for it? These are not serious people. Too bad they're so daggum stupid.

“Semi-automatic weapons are not just about gun control, they’re about national security[.] You know that these weapons can shoot down airplanes, they can blow up railroads. This is really a whole national security issue.” - Jesse Jackson

“I will tell you these are ammunition, they’re bullets, so the people who have those know they’re going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.” - Diana DeGette

Sadly, there are lots of examples over the past few years.
