I'm sure Bob Costas will have a halftime editorial about keeping evil gun commercials out of the NFL.

Michelle Malkin has one of her characteristically unambiguous reactions to this lunacy in today's Townhall.com found here: http://townhall.com/columnists/michelle ... /page/full

She begins, "The National Football League's hypocrisy and selective decency standards reek like a post-game locker room. On the one hand, the organization refuses to run a firearms manufacturer's self-defense Super Bowl ad under the guise of neutrality and taste. Yet, the professional football conglomerate routinely revels in raunchiness, gratuitous physical violence and anti-gun screeds. " and goes on from there!
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Well, their partner is the supposedly "conservative" Fox network....so don't watch anything on Fox either.

I have no issues with the content. It was just plain boring.

How about a young mother pulls into the driveway. Baby in arm, she discovers the front door ajar, broken molding on the floor. Frozen in the doorway, voice says that it is at times like this that your personal safely is challenged...........

:iagree:

Very LAME commercial.

How about a the husband leaves for a business trip and later that night the young mother (as she is putting the baby in the crib) hears someone kick in the front door of their home. Steps away from her are a phone and a bedside quick open safe with a firearm in it. Camera pans to her face. Daniel Defense logo pops up and underneath it says "The Cops are 8 minutes away from your baby, a potential murdered is 8 steps away. Phone or firearm? Your choice.

Well I guess I'm not watching any more professional football and especially the Superbowl.

No big loss, I like college football better.

I vote with my ballot, my feet, my attention and with my wallet.

Sorry NFL you just loss.

I am because I do not support them to start with. :thumbs2:
Exactly! For the most part a bunch of overpaid whining ingrates. I'd rather watch reruns of The Jeffersons.

I, too, would have preferred to see something with a little more teeth in the message. Heck, if they're going to hate the commercial, give 'em something to really hate. I like the commercial with R. Lee Ermey saying "He picked the wrong house."
Oh, and GO POKES!!! Let's make it four in a row against Missouri.

Yes, GO POKES! Disappointed in the outcome in Bedlam, but the Cotton Bowl will be a better game and more accessible.

The NFL has joined the PC crowd several years ago if the Cowboys were not such a power house I would never watch.

I don't see how any possible pro-gun statement could be more disgusting and vulgar than was last year's half time exhibit.
