Renewals Question

#1

Post by e-bil »

I'm helping a friend complete his renewal and he got in the email this:

"Below is your checklist of required supporting documentation:
• Checklist (or your confirmation email containing the transaction barcode)
• TxDPS will attempt to use the passport photo and resubmit the fingerprints on file for your renewal application. If either of these items does not meet current quality standards, TxDPS will notify the applicant and a new submission will be required. "

Does he just need to email that barcode to the RSD email address or what does he need to do in this instance? I haven't had to do a renewal since the change September 1.

You don't need to do anything else, you're totally done.

Ignore the message, it is out of date.

I did not send anything. Got my renewed license in about a month.

My brother in law renewed in November. He was required to send his army shooting records as 'proof of continuing education'...is this just required because he is in the army and resides out of state?

Well, I did my online renewal on 10/28, attached my required documents as required. Here it is 12/7 and my on line status says still waiting on required documents. I have tried to call them but get the old "all of our agents are busy" message. They have not responded to the emails I have sent to confirm. Yesterday I decided to go ahead and mail a copy of the sheets they require so we will see.

I posted about my recent conversation with the CHL office here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=70380" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm looking at pretty much the same time line as you, so the information given to me on the phone could very well fit your renewal also.
