Sad sad state of affairs when you have to go begging to the government to exercise a right in which it is specifically barred from infringing.

If you're not part of the ruling class all the begging in the world isn't going to get you a "permit." If you're part of the ruling class you don't have to beg. The licensing expert said if you're part of the ruling class you can get a permit in a couple of days.

If you want to read about the horror in detail, go to the Longislandfirearms.com discussions on how to get permits in Nassau and Suffolk counties in NY. Not even the same country as Texas. Nassau county is where the prosecutor anyone in the prosecutor's office from owning a handgun, and had questions on the job applications asking if the applicant had ever owned a gun or ever had a gun permit. You got the impression that answering "yes" would not get you bonus points. Last time I looked the questions had been dropped, but I'll bet the attitude hasn't changed.

Thank God I wasn’t born in New York. I will never even visit there. :patriot: :txflag:

P.S. or California.
God Bless America, and please hurry.
When I was young I knew all the answers. When I got older I started to realize I just hadn’t quite understood the questions.-Me

NY Government is more concerned with Big Gulps than the Constitution.

The People of NY deserve what the People of NY have allowed.

California is bad when it comes to firearms law, and getting worse, but its still not as bad as New York. Still, staying out of the liberal-progressive paradises on either coast is a good idea.
