Be prepared...it's "one of their own." Is this going to be the fuel for the next gun control push? Sad day for that family :sad:

No. I don't think this will even make a ripple. When it's one of their own so-to-speak, it's usually underplayed, or just all-out ignored. Besides, he stabbed the senator, then shot himself.

Son stabs father then shoots himself. I can imagine the stump speech now:

I was attacked in my own home by a vicious gun!
It forced my own son to stab me with a knife and when it wasn't happy with the results it murdered my boy!

Looks like they updated the info. When I posted the link, they didn't disclose all that info and made it sound like it was a third party. Ya, this one may not get much play then (thankfully). Still sad for their family...

I doubt it. This one is a family incident. Sad though. Though I did not and would not vote for him he is a decent human being and was (as I remember) no too bad on 2nd amendment issues.
